Introducing, Whistling Nest!! Our Homestay, A Kohabs India Venture.
Our homestay is away from life's chaos with the perfect atmosphere for you to unwind with scrumptious food and interesting conversations included.
We are located 6kms from Virajpet. We are surrounded by the greenery of our own estate with no sounds of horns blaring or people screaming. Here you go to sleep and wake up with pure blissful sounds of Raw nature. Birds chirping, never heard before insects making loud noises from within the estate are some of the noises you would hear mostly. Calm and serenity are the words that would come into one’s mind when you think of our homestay.
Our beautiful open porch/ lounge area is guaranteed where you would be spending most of your time overlooking into the estate, with an occasional interesting conversation with your near or dear ones. And if you run out of things to talk about, do not worry your host has several stories of the nearby villages and about the culture of the Kodagu society to share with you and keep you occupied, mesmerized for days together.
Our homestay is the ideal feel of what it is like to stay in a Kodagu household. You mix into the daily life of a Kodagu family, live among them the way how they live and at the same time get to taste some of the most delectable dishes of the local cuisine. The traditional architecture of the place with its bricked walls and earthen tiled roofs gives you the feel of the natural yet traditional habitat of the locals.
Be prepared to be engaged in an itinerary designed specifically to meet your taste. Whether you like to walk through a trail inside the plantation, or through paddy fields and into a century-old abandoned house we have something to do for people of all ages. Well, if you do not like indulging in much of activities and looking for a quiet corner to just lay low and read a book, we’ve got the perfect spot for you as well. A Hammock tied to a few palm trees next to a small stream is the absolute delight for the reader in you.
